I spent a long time in search Building for the right materials for my new Aero. I wanted it so easy and inexpensive as possible. I also wanted to make it as easy as possible to keep. In many ways, this device has a much improved version of the former is do-it-yourself project. The real key to this project was a discovery made by my wife Jessawick. She found the all-important container that makes it all work.

The container in question is an Ikea Display by (Part # 600.763.65). It has a unique shape (and unique cover), themakes it ideal for a reservoir or aeroponic system. There is also much cheaper than the reservoir used in the earlier project. The cover is both flat and swivels, making it ideal for keeping the net pots. More on that later.

This design could be easily modified to a multi-site aeroponic unit to be without much effort. You could probably fit five of the 3 "net pots. Maybe even more. I have not tried it. From my experiments, a PU250 is sufficient to power three jets. If you want to increase the number of nozzles, you may need to use a larger pump. Practically all Active Aqua Pumps are very reasonable.

I have no problems with leaks, but in case your Display by is not as perfect as mine, you may want to consider weather-stripping around the cover. If you water "sneak out" of the lid, you could weather Stripping use as a quick way to stop it. I have not done it, but it is on the table, should you need it.
