SHELF
GROWING Shelf gardening with fluorescents may be the wave of the future, since the materials are to be procured as cheaply and easily. Fluorescent lamps are great for shelf gardening. In this system, many shelves, one above the other are, and fluorescent lamps used on each shelf. Some shelves have 24 hours light, some have 12 hours of light (For Blà ¼ th). Two areas are best, perhaps dedicated to a different clenantrieb and germination of seeds.
Shelf gardening takes over à ¼ You all plants 3 or ¼ kà keep rzer at the end of the term, so all shelves are 3-4 foot apart. Less light is necessary if one plant, this short and forced to mature frà ¼ h.
Do have a disadvantage in a shelf garden like this is that it is very time consuming, the thread height adjustable lamp is hà ¶ every day, and it is difficult to take a vacation for the first to week, without care of the garden. This applies especially to the vegetative stage, when the plants grow as much as an inch per day. Lamps on the existing shelves are blà ¼ ¤ annà not nearly as often. Adapted
should normally be kept the lamps within 2 inches from the tips of the plants, with the plants arranged such that they ALLMA¤ ¶ hlich green medium size as the end of the lamps will go up, so that all plants are in the 2 range. This is an ideal however, and if you go on vacation, adjust the lamps so that your sure the plants grow not in a position to become the lamps within that Zeitspanne.Wenn enough flourecents used for new ventures expertise ndig sà ¤ ttigen to the shelf with light, the distance problem, not create spindeldà ¼ rren plants. They will mearly grow a little slower if the lamps are not too much about To close it.
An alternative is the fluorescent lamps for r cloning, germination and frà ¼ he Sà ¤ mlingswachstum to use on the top shelf of a closet, then switch over to HPS for r heavy vegatative growth and / or blossoms ¼ th in the main closet area.
Position the HPS such that it is current practice setting, at the top of most mà ¶ matched point in the closet or room bena ¶. Most HPS installations require keine lamp height adjustment. Just attach the lamp to the underside of shelf or ceiling as high as possible, and if you want to get a few plants closer to it, put it on a temporary shelf, box or table, for they are closer to the lamp.
A shelf is all that is necessary with this type of configuration, preferably at least 18 wide, up to a maximum of about 24. This area has a very bright white to be painted or covered with aluminum foil, Dull side out to reflect light back to the plants. (Prevents mat side, hot spots, the light scatters better.) Paint the shelf white too. Or, use aluminized mylar, a space blanket, or any silvery surface material. Do not use mirrors, as the glass absorbs light.
Hang shop lamps from chains and make sure you can adjust them with hooks or some other kind of mechanism so that they are as close to dhe plants be kept at all times (1-2).
If the lamps are too far from the plants, the plants could grow long, thin stems trying to reach the lamp, and will not produce as much bud at maturity. This is because longer internode length and considerably. This is the length of the stem between each set of sheets. If it is shorter, it can be more internodes, thus more branches, thus a plant that provides more buds in less space at harvest time.
Shelf gardening is sometimes referred to as Sea of Green, because many plants are grown close together, creating a green canopy of tops that are grown and matured quickly, and the next crop is started and is growing at the same time in a separate area of continuous light. Clones in a constant light shelf will be collected until they start to grow well vegetatively, then placed on a shelf 12 hours a dayto bloom.
